<br />There is a legend in the jungles of Bengalla a tale almost five hundred years old, the story of the man who cannot die. The twenty-first bearer of the name, the current Phantom is the latest in a long line of crime fighters. Sworn to devote his life to the destruction of piracy, greed, cruelty and injustice in all its forms, Kit Walker protects Bengalla from pirates, slavers, criminals and traffickers of all types.<br />

<br />Although born in The Phantom's legendary Skull Cave in Africa, Kit Walker lived for several years in Clarksville, Missouri where he attended school and became proficient in a number of sports, including boxing and gymnastics. The Phantom has no special powers, instead relying on sheer physical strength, refined fighting skills and a fearsome reputation to overcome his foes.<br />

<br />Aside from his signature purple costume and gun belt, the Phantom carries two M1911 pistols, which he uses with incredible accuracy to disarm his enemies. On his hands, he wears rings, one of which 'The Evil Mark' is worn on his right hand to brand his enemies and the other 'The Good Mark', to indicate those who are under his protection.<br />
