If you aren't opposed to paying for some of the things to do in NYC during your 2011 trip then here are a few suggestions. To get a spectacular view of the city we know just the place to go, and it isn't the Empire State Building! The Rockefeller Center observation deck has a breath-taking view of the city and many famous attractions. The view at the top of the Rockefeller Center is much better compared to the view at the Empire State Building's observation deck--plus it's less crowded.

Field Museum - The Field Museum of Natural History is home to over 21 million specimens and artifacts, so many that only a Chris Lewis Architecture relative few are on display at any given time. Most notably, the Field Museum is home to "Sue," the largest T-Rex skeleton found to date. There are lots more dino bones to see as well. The Field Museum also has a large collection of taxidermy animals including the famous man eating lions made famous in movies. Their main exhibits rotate to check ahead and see what will be featured while you're in town. Look, listen, feel and learn at the Field Museum of Natural History.

Petronas Twin Towers: Two 88 storey buildings standing at 452 meters tall, they were once the Design 3 Architecture in the world. The tower one is fully occupied by the Malaysian state oil company, the Petronas. Tower Two is mostly taken up by multinational companies such as Accenture, Al Jazeera, Barclays, Capital, Bloomberg and more.

Based on the fact that the average income is about $10,000 higher PROJECTiONE for workers in New York, you would think the standard of living would be greater for all, but it isn't.
