<br />Named Tarzan by his new family, the boy quickly found his place among the tribe, becoming a skilled tracker and hunter in the process. Tarzan of the Apes possesses skills superior to those of a normal man. He can climb and leap as well as any ape and has super-human strength, endurance and agility. Tarzan is extremely intelligent and taught himself how to read from books his parents left behind. Later, as he encountered humans more frequently, he became fluent in several languages including French and English. As a man, he is generous and loyal to his friends while being an implacable and unbeatable opponent to his foes.
